A quiet place to explore what comes next
Because retirement doesn’t always feel the way you imagined.
You thought retirement would bring freedom.
Instead, it has quietly left you wondering…
What comes next?
Retirement Wanderlust helps you rediscover purpose, connection and meaningful exploration, one small step at a time.
Perhaps your story feels a little like this…
When retirement first began, it wasn’t what she expected.
She wasn’t unhappy.
But she wasn’t quite herself either.
Friends assumed she must be loving the freedom.
Quietly, she wondered why it didn’t feel the way she thought it would.
She missed feeling useful.
She wasn’t looking for a new career.
Or a bucket list.
She simply wanted to wake up feeling curious about life again.
It didn’t happen overnight.
There wasn’t one big breakthrough.
Instead, she began taking one small step at a time.
A local walk she had never taken before.
Coffee with someone she’d been meaning to call.
Trying something new without worrying whether she was “good at it.”
Volunteering a few hours a week.
Gradually, something changed.
She stopped asking,
“What’s wrong with me?”
and started asking,
“I wonder what comes next?”
That’s where Retirement Wanderlust begins.

The person behind Retirement Wanderlust
Hi, I’m Dee.
Like many people, I stepped into retirement expecting it to feel different.
I discovered something important was missing from the conversation.
Most of what I found focused on finances.
What I couldn’t find were honest conversations about the quieter parts of retirement.
The shift in identity.
Missing that feeling of being useful.
Wondering what comes next.
Realising you don’t need to reinvent yourself, but you do want life to feel meaningful again.
If any of that feels familiar, you’re not alone.
That’s why I created Retirement Wanderlust.
Not to tell you how retirement should look.
But to offer a place where purpose, connection and exploration can unfold at a pace that feels right for you.
Everything you’ll find here is written from lived experience, thoughtful reflection and conversations with other women navigating this chapter in their own way.
I hope Retirement Wanderlust feels less like advice…
and more like someone walking beside you.
You don’t need a plan yet.
You just need a place to begin.
